Meta Ads Consultant for E-commerce

Facebook and Instagram ads for online stores, run by Jaseel M with the Conversions API set up properly — because Meta optimises on the purchases it can see.

In brief

A Meta Ads consultant for e-commerce builds and manages Facebook and Instagram campaigns that are judged on store revenue, not on Meta's own attribution. In practice that means a properly deduplicated pixel and Conversions API first, then a simpler account structure built around Advantage+ shopping campaigns and catalogue ads, and a steady creative testing plan — because on Meta the creative is the targeting.

Start with what Meta can see

Meta's delivery system learns from the purchase events it receives. Browser-only tracking misses a growing share of them — ad blockers, Safari and iOS restrictions, consent choices — so the algorithm learns from an incomplete, skewed sample.

The fix is the Conversions API (CAPI): your server sends the same events to Meta, each with the same event ID as the browser event, so Meta counts each purchase once and sees more of them. On Shopify this is the Facebook & Instagram channel set to maximum data sharing; on WooCommerce it is a plugin or a server-side GTM container. Either way I check deduplication and event match quality before touching campaigns.

How I structure Meta for an online store

  • Advantage+ shopping campaigns as the main prospecting engine for most catalogues, with existing-customer budget caps so they do not just retarget buyers.
  • Catalogue (dynamic product) ads fed by the same clean product data used for Google Shopping.
  • Fewer, larger ad sets. Fragmented accounts starve each ad set of the data it needs to exit learning.
  • Creative as targeting. Different hooks, formats and angles reach different people; broad audiences plus varied creative usually beat narrow interest stacks.
  • Reporting against the store. Meta's 7-day click / 1-day view numbers are a steering signal; blended ROAS and new-customer revenue decide whether it is working.

Creative testing that produces answers

Most "testing" on Meta is launching new ads and keeping whichever has the best ROAS after three days. A better system:

  1. Test one variable at a time — the hook, the format, the offer — not five at once.
  2. Give each test enough spend to reach a meaningful number of purchases, or judge on a leading metric you have validated against purchases.
  3. Keep a log of what won and why, so the next brief starts from evidence.

When Meta ROAS drops

A sudden drop is usually tracking, auction pressure or creative fatigue — in roughly that order of how often I find each. The diagnostic order is in why Meta ads ROAS dropped.

Is Advantage+ shopping better than manual campaigns?

For most e-commerce catalogues it is the strongest prospecting option, provided the Conversions API is sending good data and existing-customer spend is capped. Manual campaigns still help for specific tests, launches and markets.

Do I still need the Meta pixel if I use the Conversions API?

Yes. Run both with matching event IDs. The pixel captures browser context; CAPI fills the gaps. Meta deduplicates the pair.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Meta report more sales than my store?

Attribution: Meta counts view-through conversions and its own windows, and several channels can claim the same order. Judge Meta on blended store revenue and incrementality, not on its own dashboard alone.

Do you make the creative?

I write briefs, hooks and test plans and work with your designer or content team. I do not shoot or edit video in-house.

Do you run Meta lead-generation campaigns?

Yes, for service businesses — with lead quality fed back as offline conversions so Meta optimises for qualified leads, not form fills.
